Rescue Stories

Every animal that comes to live at Critter Camp has a special story. However a few have lived through truly remarkable circumstances to end up here. We'll share those stories with you on this page.

For example Bravehog the hedgehog here was found in a dumpster by animal control!

Phoenix the bearded dragon was found outside in cold weather by animal control. He was emaciated and nearly dead, his tail severely infected. Medical treatment could not save his tail and the infection began to spread to his body, so his tail had to be amputated.
